Before you start your driving lessons, you must obtain your NYS learner’s permit. To do this, you must complete the MV-44 form and provide proof of identity and date of birth. You will also need to take vision and written permit tests. To pass, you must correctly answer 14 out of 20 multiple-choice questions in the written test.
